Designed for Assurance

The Acova device turns visual assessment into a precise, automated process. Compact enough for any lab or sampling hut, it analyses a full industry-standard sample in minutes. Its modular design and regular software updates ensure it adapts as new commodities are trained and evolves with industry needs.

HOW IT WORKS

How it works

Samples are loaded into the intake tray and automatically fed through the analysis chamber. Dual cameras capture the sample from both sides, creating a complete dataset for classification. Machine learning models trained against industry standards consistently apply the same criteria, thereby eliminating variation between operators and sites. Results display instantly on the touchscreen, with defect images stored for review, auditing and training.

Kernels processed in under 2.5 minutes

Analysis speed

Processes a full industry sample in approximately 2.5 minutes, and Analyses around 20× more grain than manual inspection.

Imaging

Dual cameras capture both sides of the sample with high-resolution imaging for defect classification, discolouration detection, contamination identification, and foreign material detection.

Operation

43kg bench-top unit measuring 950 × 470 × 550mm. Self-cleaning mechanism with contactless high-pressure air and automatic calibration.

Connectivity

Ethernet and USB for data transfer. Software updates are delivered remotely to extend classifiers and add new commodities.

Power

240VAC / 50–60Hz, fitted with two 6A fuses.
Application

Adaptable to any operation

Analysis is where it starts. Applications take it further with tools for operators, growers, coordinators, and regulators. See how it works in practice on the Applications page.
