Acova Takes RQA to AGIC 2026

Acova headed to Melbourne on the 29th and 30th of July for the Australian Grain Industry Conference 2026 hosted by Grain Trade Australia.

Nearly 700 grain market participants, service providers and industry leaders gathered under this year's theme, Thriving Today, Resilient Tomorrow, and Acova was there in force, with Marcus Ashby (CEO), Tom Foss (Customer Success Manager), Jonathan Tennant (Software Development Manager), and Sam Foss (Product Manager) representing the team.

The conference marked the official industry showcase of our Rapid Quality Analysis (RQA) device, alongside the software suite that powers it: RQClassify, RQFleet, RQReview, and RQTrain. The software proved to be a real talking point, with its groundbreaking approach to dataset analysis and the ease with which new models can be trained, additional defects entered, and results reviewed, allowing the system to adapt to seasonal and geographical change across the industry.

The response exceeded expectations. Interest in RQA came from right across the grain sector, with bulk handlers, millers, seed breeders, importers, exporters, and control union representatives all stopping by to see the device in action. Conversations flowed throughout both days, with plenty of interest in how the technology and its accompanying software could fit into existing operations.

Beyond the exhibition floor, the team made the most of AGIC's technical program, gathering valuable insight into where the industry is headed and where RQA can make a real difference, improving quality and consistency along the supply chain, from the grower's paddock through to the final processing point.

Marcus Ashby was extremely pleased with the outcome of the conference, with the feedback received solidifying RQA's position as a leader in the field of visual grain analysis.
